Michael R. Moyer, V.M.D.
Dr. Michael R. Moyer is the Rosenthal Director of Shelter Animal Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine and the owner of Bridgewater Veterinary Hospital, Inc. in Bensalem, Pennsylvania. A 1990 graduate of University of Pennsylvania, he returned to teach at the School in May of 2006. In addition to surgical instruction and lectures on shelter medicine, surgery, and infectious disease topics, he represents the School in a variety of local, state, and national collaborative efforts in animal welfare and sheltering.
He has extensive professional volunteer leadership experience with alumni, local, state, and national veterinary medical associations. He has held various elected and appointed positions within these organizations, notably having served as the PVMA's President for the year 2004, and was awarded the PVMA Veterinarian of the Year award for 2005. He is currently Vice-President and Board Member of the American Animal Hospital Association.
Robert W. Stewart, Jr, V.M.D.
grew up in Bethlehem, PA where his father is a very well respected veterinarian, and was a great influence on him to want to follow in his footsteps into veterinary medicine. He earned his B.A. in Biology from Washington & Jefferson College in 1994, and then took a year to work for his father's hospital as a nursing assistant as he had done during high school and college. He then attended the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, graduating in 1999. He is an active member of Penn Vet's Veterinary Medical Alumni Society Executive board and along with several classmates supports a Penn veterinary student with a four year Opportunity Scholarship. He has particular interest in surgery and the treatment of chronic disease. He spends his free time with his wife Tonya, pets and friends, and has a love of sports, movies, running and riding his motorcycle.
Jill Kalman, V.M.D.
Joined the Bridgewater Veterinary Hospital staff in May 2009 as a part-time associate. She graduated from University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. She worked at the Center for Animal and Referral Emergency Services (CARES) in Langhorne for 5 years as an emergency veterinarian. She is planning to study canine physical therapy and acupuncture in the upcoming year. She has three beautiful children and one handsome Doberman named Elijah.
Bridgewater Staff
Ann Young, Office Manager.
Originally from England, Ann joined the BVH team in March 2006. Over the years she has had a number of dogs & is currently owned by two Labrador Retrievers. Ann is a competitive target shooter and also runs a tow boat on the Delaware River with her husband.
Suzanne Killmer, Head Surgical Nurse.
Suzanne has been working as a surgical nurse/vet tech for the last 10 years. She started working at BVH in July 2008. She loves to spend time with her boyfriend Jason and her family. She has four dogs and three cats.
Lisa Solari-Parravicini, Veterinary Assistant.
Lisa joined the BVH staff in May 2009. In her spare time, Lisa designs dog themed clothing and makes beautiful dog collars for her multiple internet stores. She loves spending time with her animals; two mastiffs, two Greyhounds, a Malamute, Shepherd mix, Cocker Spaniel and several cats.
"Festus" Moyer, Resident Cat.
Festus has been living at BVH for approximately 10 yrs. He spends his day lying on the front desk greeting clients and patients. He spends weekends at Lisa's house where he romps with his buddies.
